Welcome to the Kauaʻi Economic Development Board
The Kaua`i Economic Development Board was founded in 1984 as a private, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization by a group of leaders who recognized the need to broaden and strengthen Kaua'i's economy. Since then, KEDB has been committed to promoting economic growth across the island by supporting local businesses, empowering youth, and fostering innovation. In pursuit of its mission, KEDB has been actively engaged in various initiatives that contribute to the overall economic development of Kaua'i.

Internship Program
Our Summer Internship Program is just around the corner, running from June 16 to August 1, 2025! Whether you're a student eager to gain real-world experience or a business looking to mentor and get extra support this summer, now’s the time to get involved. Open to high school and college students ages 15–21.
AI Workshop Series
Join our AI Workshop Series, presented in partnership with KEDB, the Kauai Chamber of Commerce and the SBA. Designed for local businesses, nonprofits, and working professionals, this series will be led by AI specialist Gabriel Yanagihara. Gain essential knowledge and practical tools to harness the power of AI in your work. Workshops will take place from June to August 2025 at the Kukui Grove Center.
